At the midpoint of its ”Swiss Post of tomorrow” strategy, Swiss Post’s position at the end of 2022 is sound. The new strategy is taking effect and, despite numerous unexpected challenges, it is helping to stabilize the financial situation. At 358 million francs, operating profit for 2022 is down year-on-year, although the previous year was particularly strong and the decline is due primarily to external factors. The fallout from the pandemic, inflation and the global ramifications of the war in Ukraine are having a clear impact on Swiss Post, and this may well remain the case for some years to come.
